Our next meeting is Saturday, 2/26/2011.  We are doing things different this year.

As you can see in the sidebar, the River City Whisky Society has its own logo!!!

On Friday, February 4th, Doug (Member #1) & I (#8) made our way to the grand opening of the pub at Alcorn Cigars at 8984 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63123.

Yeah I know, it’s been a long time since I posted.  It has been a busy time, but I look to change that.  RCWS had their first annual Christmas party and all the members, plus several guests came.

So, Robert (Member #5) called the other night. He said he wanted to swing by the house because he had a whiskey he wanted me to try. NOTE: My door is always open to friends with whiskey (insert laughter here).

Okay, so it’s been a while since we posted. The promise is to make this a more active site for out loyal readers. Both of them.

We had a great surprise at our last tasting. An unexpected visitor.

For our latest tasting we decided to do something different and we re-tasted the top rated whiskies from our 2010 tastings.

I know many people who want to start enjoying scotch more, but don’t really know how to start.
