Thoughts of Connemara…from Robert T.

RCWS Member #9 submitted the following:

“Every time I go to the whiskey tastings with Scotch and Irish Whiskey I always take the Irish Whiskey, I just like it best. I have the Michael Collins and the Knappogue, both fine single malt Irish Whiskeys. My sister-in-law just gave me a bottle of Connemara Peated Single Malt Irish Whiskey and it is to date the finest Irish whiskey I have ever tasted. Now it has a distinct flavor of the peat, but it is exceptionally smooth.

Tasting the whiskey brought back the memeory of visiting Connemara on my trip to Ireland. It is a very rugged part of Ireland where the wind never stopped blowing and the temperature never got over fifty degree’s. And I guarantee this whiskey warmed many an Irishman on a cold night. I really love my sister-in-law. At the next tasting I will bring it and let you fine gentlemen of the RCWS decide for yourself.”
