Saying goodbye to my Friend Signatory Ledaig

Posted by on April 3, 2010

It’s a sad day as I say goodbye to my friend Signatory Ledaig 15 year old.  A tear is shed….

As I posted earlier, I have become a fan of the expressions that Signatory has created.  Awhile back I was at a tasting hosted by Ed Kohl, the distributor for Signatory, at The Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton (the best liquor store in St. Louis!!), and Ledaig was one of the expressions we tried.   Right away I liked this stuff, so much so I posted about it on February 7th of this year.  Since I posted once, I won’t bore you with my tasting notes.   But, the reason for this post, I finished the bottle.  It is a sad day.  It is sad because I was at W&CP today, and they were out.  This isn’t surprising seeing that anything Signatory puts out usually won’t last long.  The good news is about two months ago I bought a second bottle, which I haven’t opened yet.  If anyone has a chance to buy a bottle of this, do it!!  You will not be disappointed.
