I wanted something different today, and as I looked over my more that 120 bottles I decided on Bruichladdich – Rocks.
And I love this stuff. It is sweet all around; Smell, taste, and finish. Not an overpowering sweet, like a dessert wine, but a mild sweet, that is subtle enough that you taste it throughout. I learned that this was aged in the end in French red wine casks, and what good wine it must be. This is a mellow scotch, probably a good aperitif. It is fruity with almost no taste of peat. Fresh and spicy at the same time. The finish is long and hints of wood notes. I like this stuff!!! Bruichladdich Rocks, you Rock!!!
