I have always been a fan of rye whiskey. I love the spiciness. Canada has been pumping rye whisky out for years and the US finally started getting on the bandwagon a few years ago.
Tonight I am sipping JP Wiser’s Rye. It is a Canadian blended whisky bottled at 40% alcohol. Whiskey Advocate had this rated the same as, if not higher than, Bulliet, Jefferson and Templeton Ryes. And this one is cheaper at about $20.
I like it at that price. It’s very drinkable. Nice spices and earthy tones with a smooth finish that last’s just long enough.
Drink this if you want to save a few bucks and you won’t be disappointed.
