Jack and Jack

Posted by on May 26, 2010

The last episode of “24” aired Monday night. My wife and I have been followers of the show since its second season and are sad to see the series come to an end. BUT….

…in my never ending search to make the best of bad situations I tried to find a way to celebrate. What better way to enjoy the end of Jack Bauer than with another Jack….Jack Daniels.

I have always been a fan of Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey. Remember, this is not bourbon. It is Tennessee Whiskey. The main difference is that this whiskey is filtered through maple charcoal, also known as the Lincoln County Process. This process makes the whiskey very smooth and, in my opinion, more “drinkable” than bourbon.

If you are a scotch drinker you may find Jack Daniels, and most other American whiskies for that matter, to be too sweet. This is because corn is the major component of the drink. Generally near 80% of the mash.

One thing is for sure, Jack Daniels and Jack Bauer made for a winning combination that night.
